Mr. Musa Shihadeh,Vice Chairman & General Manager, has celebrated the occasion of electing Mr.Adnan Yousif Chief of Union of Arab Banks & Chairman of JIB. The ceremony was sponsored by His Excellency Dr. Ummayya Toukan, Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan. A number of banking and economic Jordanian officials have participated in this ceremony.
Mr. Shihadeh has delivered a welcome speech, appreciating the sponsorship of His Excellency Dr. Toukan to the ceremony. He has also congratulated Mr. Adnan and wished him success. He stated that Mr. Adnan has been participating as a member of JIB Board for years and he is still participating in the senior management through holding the position of Chairman, to keep growth and prosperity of the bank, and to be an effective Islamic body in serving the national economy with the coordination of everyone to work for Jordan.
Mr. Adnan has also delivered a thankful speech to the King, government, and the public, and he praised the role Jordan performed years ago, in order to become like developed countries by the wisdom of His Majesty that is directed toward supporting the productive capacities. He wished Jordan more prosperity and development.
He also thanked Dr.Toukan, Mr. Shihadeh and the audience for holding this ceremony, affirming the importance of taking responsibility altogether to promote Arab & Islamic banking, to enhance Arab economical cooperation and to develop the banking sector to play its role in serving Arab economy at all levels. Further, he pointed out to the strategies that the Union attempts to implement during the next period, like activating the electronic linkage network to link the Union with Arab Banks, in addition to create an active database for these banks. He added that he hopes to gain the public trust.
