New Services from the JIB

Developing SMS Service

                          

JIB declared expanding its services by offering the SMS service for its clients via mobile phones. Mr. Musa Shihadeh, Vice Chairman & General Manager, said that JIB attempts to comply with new technologies to develop the banking services presented to the clients to enable them do their banking operations much more easily. This service has been launched at the beginning of 2006 informing the clients with specific data. But now the service will be presented to save the client’s time and effort and to be constantly aware of any transactions including (current accounts, demand accounts, savings accounts, notice accounts, and term accounts). He has also encouraged the clients to benefit from these new services by providing the bank with their mobile numbers, so as to instantly inform them with drawing or depositing transactions by cash or check, overdrawn accounts (current, demand, salary), in addition to inbound transfers, purchasing transactions on electronic cards locally and externally, and  returned checks. This service makes the client aware of the availability of his/her salary too.Moreover, JIB presents a set of e-services using the safest smart cards by the internet and through the VBV, Verified by Visa (an identification system for the use of visa cards on the internet), so that JIB is considered the first bank in Jordan adopting this service.It is worth mentioning that JIB has been offering direct e-banking services by the internet through its web site www.jordanislamicbank.com since 2004.
