In appreciation of the role of teachers and their noble message in shaping the future of the nation, raising generations, and the continuous efforts to support the education sector, Jordan Islamic Bank participated, for the fifth consecutive year, in the Ministry of Education’s annual celebration of World Teachers’ Day, which coincides on the fifth of October. The Bank honored a group of male and female teachers from various education directorates across the Kingdom and presented them with commemorative gifts for their clear impact on the educational process in Jordan. The ceremony was held under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, and attended by His Excellency Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, Minister of Education, a group of ministers, representatives, and educational and academic figures, at the Royal Cultural Center.
Dr. Hussein Said, CEO of Jordan Islamic Bank, said, “The bank’s continued participation in this annual event affirms the bank’s social and sustainable role in supporting the education sector in Jordan, and reinforces its sustainable partnership with the Ministry of Education. It also stems from the bank’s interest in the teachers’ sector and its continuous efforts to be present in any activity that aims to appreciate the role of teachers and the efforts aimed at developing the education sector and teachers and providing an environment that stimulates creativity, excellence and development, which has a direct impact on the process of economic growth.”
Dr. Hussein Said explained that the agreement signed between the bank and the Ministry of Education gives teachers the advantage of access to the bank's comprehensive and diverse banking and financing services, which are compatible with the provisions and principles of Islamic Sharia, at preferential rates and under favorable terms, in appreciation of them and their significant role in building society.
