Jordan Islamic Bank celebrated the opening of its new branch in Abdali Mall, which was established according to the bank’s new visual identity, coinciding with the forty-sixth anniversary of the start of work of the first branch of Jordan Islamic Bank on 22/9/1979. The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of Mr. Abdullah Al-Howaish, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jordan Islamic Bank, and in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Saleh Kamel, Chairman of the Boad of Directors of Al Baraka Group and President of Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development, members of the Bank’s Board of Directors, Dr. Hussein Said / CEO of the Bank, the Executive Management, and a number of the Bank’s clients, businessmen, and public figures, on 22/9/2025.
On this occasion, Dr. Hussein Said, said “Our celebration today, under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Saleh Kamel, comes in appreciation of the legacy left behind by his father, Sheikh Saleh Kamel, may God have mercy on him, He has a significant contribution in establishing and developing Islamic banks and financial institutions since 1970s, including the establishment of Jordan Islamic Bank coinciding Today with the anniversary of the opening of the bank’s first branch, along with the opening of Abdali Mall branch and the bank’s fifth digital corner to provide self-service banking services. Let us express our pride in what we have achieved and are achieving in various business sectors to enhance the bank's position as a leading financial institution in the field of Islamic banking, supporting the national economy. We strive for the continued geographical re-expansion in vital areas according to the bank's strategy for the five years 2025-2029 to serve our clients and meet their aspirations, providing distinguished banking services that suit their needs, through improving the branch network in alignment with market developments and expanding financial inclusion.
Dr. Hussein Said explained that Abdali Mall branch is the sixth branch of the bank in the commercial complexes (malls) out of 108 branches and offices spread across the Kingdom, where the bank is present in Mecca Mall, Istiqlal Mall, Areefa Mall, Irbid Mall / City Center, and Pavilion Mall, which continue to receive customers during the morning and evening periods and on official holidays. The bank is also keen to maintain communication with its clients and serve them around the clock through various means of communication.
