Jordan Islamic Bank celebrated with the students of the Academy for the Blind (Abdullah Ibn Umm Maktoum School) on the occasion of Independence Day and honored the (sixteenth) cohort of high school graduates in the Academy, in a special ceremony held under the patronage of Her Highness Princess Rajwa Bint Ali and in the presence of the Chairman of the Civil Service and Public Administration Authority, Engineer Fayez Al-Nahar, the Director of Education for the Marka District, Professor Ziad Al-Awawdeh, and the students’ families, at the Civil Service and Public Administration Authority Theater on Thursday 21/5/2026.
The bank’s continued and unique annual celebration with blind students on the occasion of their graduation, coinciding with the celebration of Independence Day, represents a practical expression of the values of belonging and pride in the love of the homeland, while emphasizing the implementation of the bank’s strategy in sustainable social responsibility by supporting and empowering people with disabilities, especially the blind, through the bank’s constant concern for about thirty years to provide care and support for the annual ceremony of the Academy for the Blind and the distribution of in-kind or cash gifts to the graduating students.
During the ceremony, artistic performances expressing the celebration of Independence Day were presented by the students. Her Highness Princess Rajwa Bint Ali presented the certificates to the graduating students, and Mr. Ahmed Abd Al Kareem, Manager of Corporate Communications, presented the gifts provided by the bank. Dr. Suhair Matar, Director of the Academy for the Blind, expressed her thanks and appreciation to Jordan Islamic Bank for sponsoring the ceremony and continuing to support the graduating students and providing them with gifts.
