In confirmation of Jordan Islamic Bank’s assumption of its social responsibilities in the field of social solidarity and strengthening the bonds of Jordanian society and throughout the Kingdom of Jordan, the bank participated with the people of Irbid Governorate in the thirty-fourth group wedding ceremony organized by Al-Afaf Charity Association and Family Cohesion Association, with wide participation from official figures from the municipality and governorate of Irbid and the people. Which was held in Arabella halls on 8/10/2023.
Dr. Hussein Said, CEO/General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, expressed his happiness with the bank’s participation in Irbid Governorate’s celebrations in organizing this ceremony and helping young people, encouraging them and relieving them of the burdens and requirements of marriage, adding that the bank’s continued presence in group wedding celebrations since 1995 and the second ceremony during the current year. This comes as an affirmation of the bank’s keenness to carry out its social responsibilities towards the people of the local community, praising the efforts made by Al-Afaf Charitable Society in organizing group weddings, which present a wonderful picture of the solidarity and cooperation of the members of one Jordanian society in helping young people to bear the costs of marriage and build families that are the basis for the formation of society.
Dr. Munther Zaitoun, Vice President of Al-Afaf Charitable Association, said, “We value the role of Jordan Islamic Bank in contributing to the success of group weddings in particular and the activities of Al-Afaf Charitable Association in general and over the course of successive years, providing an example and a role model to be followed among economic institutions aiming to serve the national economy and the local community”.
For his part, Dr. Nabil Al-Kufahi, governor of Irbid, thanked Jordan Islamic Bank for its contribution in supporting the grooms participating in the ceremony, expressing his pride in the bank, the national banking institution that is well-established in its initiatives that light up the nation’s sky. The Islamic Bank does not hesitate to provide support for any activity that achieves solidarity and cooperation for the good of the people of the local community.
