In line with the economic modernization vision regarding the perspective of financial technology and digital transformation, and highlighting the promising investment opportunities in Jordan and Islamic world’s digital economy sector, Jordan Islamic Bank continued its strategic partnership with Jordan Chamber of Commerce and in cooperation with Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in organizing the second session of the Invest in the Digital Economy Forum entitled “Digital Transformation for a Sustainable Global Economy.” The forum was held under the Royal Patronage and was inaugurated by His Excellency Engineer Sami Smeirat, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, on behalf of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, with the attendance and participation of Sheikh Abdullah Saleh Kamel, President of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development, government officials, heads of Arab and Islamic chambers of commerce, international experts, and digital technology entrepreneurs in Islamic countries. The forum was held on 22/9/2025, at the Fairmont Hotel in Amman.
Dr. Hussein Said, CEO of Jordan Islamic Bank, said, “For the second year consecutively, we continue to support the forum’s activities, which reflect the royal visions towards developing the information technology sector, the axes of progress and development achieved by the financial and commercial sector in the field of digital transformation, supporting the business environment for small and emerging companies and entrepreneurs, enhancing financial inclusion. It also reviews investment opportunities in this field, aiming to promote Jordan as a regional center for the digital economy, which is in line with Jordan Islamic Bank’s orientations towards digital transformation and its assumption of its sustainable responsibilities by supporting national efforts to highlight the latest trends in financial technology and the digital economy to benefit from them.”
His Excellency Senator Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, Chairman of Jordan Chamber of Commerce, presented an honorary shield to Dr. Hussein Said in appreciation of the bank's strategic partnership with the Chamber in supporting the forum. This was during a dinner held in honor of the supporters and participants. The bank also presented its services and products that are compatible with the provisions and principles of Islamic Sharia by participating with a special pavilion in the forum.
