In recognition of teachers' contributions and their pivotal role in building generations and shaping the future, Jordan Islamic Bank has continued, for the sixth consecutive year, to support efforts aimed at enhancing the status of teachers. This was demonstrated through its participation with the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development in honoring distinguished teachers from various directorates of education on the occasion of World Teachers' Day, which falls on the fifth of October every year.
The honoring ceremony was held under the patronage of the representative of the Prime Minister, His Excellency Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, Minister of Education and Human Resources Development. The event was attended by the Ministry's Secretaries-General and the Chief Executive Officer of Jordan Islamic Bank, Dr. Hussein Said, at the Royal Cultural Center, where the honored teachers were presented with gifts and commemorative shields.
On this occasion, Dr. Hussein Said stated: "We take pride in our partnership with the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development and in celebrating annually to honor a select group of teachers who represent the foundation of the educational process."
He emphasized the bank's commitment to its corporate social responsibility within the sustainable education sector, as well as its dedication to strengthening efforts that support the education and development journey in the Kingdom. He further noted that the agreement signed with the Ministry of Education allows teachers to benefit from the bank's banking and financing services at preferential rates and facilitated terms as a token of appreciation.
Dr. Hussein Said also highlighted the bank's ongoing commitment to providing support and participating in community initiatives that reflect appreciation for national cadres and their role in achieving sustainable economic and social development.
