In confirmation of Jordan Islamic Bank’s keenness to support and empower people with disabilities, especially during national occasions that promote the values of belonging and national unity, the bank continued its participation in the annual celebration of the Academy for the Blind - Abdullah Ibn Umm Maktoum School on the occasion of Independence Day and honoring the high school students at the Academy, the graduates of the fifteenth batch. The celebration was held under the patronage of Her Highness Princess Rajwa Bint Ali and in the presence of the Chairman of the Civil Service and Public Administration Commission, Engineer Fayez Al-Nahar, the Director of Education for the Marka District, Dr. Ahmed Al-Salmat, and the families of the students, at the Civil Service and Public Administration Commission Theater on Tuesday 13/5/2025.
Dr. Hussein Said, CEO of Jordan Islamic Bank, expressed his pride in the Bank’s continued and unique way of honoring high school students at the Academy for the Blind - Abdullah Ibn Umm Maktoum School and presenting them with cash gifts, which comes within the Bank’s annual activities and its strategy in the field of sustainable social responsibility and the attention it pays to members of society with various disabilities (mobility, hearing and visual). The Islamic Bank has been supporting the Academy’s graduating students for about thirty years, confirming the importance of supporting this group and integrating them among members of society.
During the ceremony, Dr. Ahmed Al-Salmat, Director of Education for the Marka District, and Dr. Najah Falah, Director of the Academy, expressed their thanks and appreciation to Jordan Islamic Bank for its continuous and annual support of the Academy's students. At the end of the ceremony, which included artistic performances by the blind students, gifts were presented to the graduating students.
