Jordan Islamic Bank provided gold sponsorship for the Second National Conference on Climate Change and the Green Economy, which was held under the title “National Integration in Climate Action: From Adaptation to Transformation” under the patronage of the Minister of Environment, His Excellency Dr. Ayman Suleiman, and organized by Jasmine Foundation for Training Courses, in cooperation with the Central Bank of Jordan, Arab Forum for Environment and Development, Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fund, Aqaba Development Corporation, with broad participation from ministries, institutions, and organizations from the public and private sectors concerned with the national response to climate change, which was held at the Fairmont Hotel – Amman on 27/6/2026.
The bank’s sponsorship of the conference embodies its sustainable social responsibilities and its support for development initiatives aimed at promoting the green economy, and affirms the importance of partnership between the public and private sectors and civil society institutions to drive climate action towards a more sustainable future, in line with national trends and Jordan’s Economic Vision 2033 in achieving comprehensive and sustainable development.
The bank also set up a special pavilion on the sidelines of the conference, showcasing its services and financing solutions in the environmental field.
The conference addressed specialized topics including climate governance and institutional integration, health security and climate adaptation, urban resilience in the era of climate change, the blue economy in Jordan, the relationship between climate, livelihoods and protection, international efforts to support climate action in Jordan, and the role of water user associations in improving the efficiency of agricultural water management and distribution.
