Jordan Islamic Bank contributed providing golden sponsorship to the Arab Parliamentary Conference on Technology and Economy entitled (The Impact of Technology and Innovation in Promoting the Growth of the Arab Economy) under the patronage of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Ahmed Al-Safadi, and in the presence of the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, His Excellency Mr. Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoumi, and the Minister of Transport, Her Excellency Engineer Wissam Al-Tahtamuni and Secretary-General of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Samira Al-Zoubi, organized by Al-Yasmeen Foundation and with the participation of Jordanian and Arab specialists, researchers and parliamentarians, at the Fairmont Hotel - Amman on 29/6/2024.
Dr. Hussein Said, CEO of Jordan Islamic Bank, said, “We are pleased to contribute to supporting this conference, based on our bank’s assumption of its sustainable social responsibilities in the service of the national economy and within the perspective of the vision of economic modernization, through the bank’s permanent presence in the various activities that achieve this vision and enhance joint Arab cooperation at various levels, including this conference, which provides an opportunity to learn about the most important developments in the digital field and artificial intelligence and their impact on various sectors, and to benefit from the opportunities available by investing in the digital economy and confront various challenges to keep pace with the great development the world is witnessing in this field.”
The conference addressed topics on the future investment direction of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone, and presented the vision of the Economic and Social Council and the role of legislative and governmental institutions and the private sector in supporting and encouraging investment in technology and innovation... and the impact of digital transformation and artificial intelligence technology in the sectors of the economy, sustainability, innovation in technology and artificial intelligence... etc.
