In implementation of Jordan Islamic Bank's strategy to enhance the role of financial inclusion and contribute to sustainable development and financial and social stability in society, the bank's main participation came by presenting honorary prizes to small business pioneers who participated in the project "Economic Empowerment of Women and Youth and Financing Pioneering, Agricultural and Rural Women Projects", implemented jointly by Agricultural Credit Corporation and Zaha Cultural Center, and with the support of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations "FAO". The ceremony was held under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Ali on 21/10/2024 at Zaha Cultural Center.
Dr. Hussein Said, CEO of Jordan Islamic Bank, expressed his happiness to participate in honoring a group of women and young people who succeeded in establishing pioneering projects that represent success stories in managing small projects specialized in agricultural fields related to agricultural products.
He stressed that the bank's participation in this ceremony comes within the framework of sustainable cooperation between the bank and the Agricultural Credit Corporation and as an affirmation of the bank's assumption of its sustainable social responsibilities in serving the agricultural sector and small projects, which are among the bank's most prominent interests in achieving sustainable economic growth, creating job opportunities, providing financing, and developing banking services, products and solutions that enable entrepreneurial project owners to succeed in managing and owning their entrepreneurial projects, in addition to providing support that enhances the partnership with public and private sector institutions in supporting individuals, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to empower them economically and socially, and reflecting this on developing the national economy and moving the wheel of development.
For his part, His Excellency Eng. Mohammed Doujan Al-Balawneh, General Manager of the Agricultural Credit Corporation, praised the partnership with Jordan Islamic Bank in the field of stimulating successful pioneering projects within the economic empowerment project that enables individuals to contribute to economic and agricultural development.
