Jordan Islamic Bank received the award for “Best Bank in Jordan in terms of banking services and products compatible with the provisions and principles of Islamic Sharia for the year 2023” from The Banking Executive magazine issued by World Union of Arab Bankers, during the Banking Excellence and Achievement Awards Ceremony for the year 2023, which it was held in Istanbul/Turkey and in the presence of a number of bankers and international and regulatory figures from international and regional institutions.
Dr. Hussein Said, CEO/General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, said, “This award came as a continuation of the various awards that our bank has won in the Banking Excellence and Achievement Awards since 2015, and this year was crowned with this prestigious award in recognition of our bank’s distinguished role in the Jordanian banking sector, as it is the first and largest Islamic bank in Jordan has achieved outstanding achievements during its journey of about forty-four years, keeping pace with development, innovation and leadership by providing banking services and products compatible with the provisions and principles of Islamic Sharia, which have met with great success and demand and met the needs of different segments of Jordanian society,” stressing the management’s keenness to continually strive to maintain a distinguished position in the Jordanian banking sector and achieving more achievements.
For his part, Mr. Wissam Fattouh, Secretary-General of the World Union of Arab Bankers and Union of Arab Banks, praised the achievements made by Jordan Islamic Bank in the field of Islamic banking services and products, which culminated in obtaining this award, which confirms its preservation of its position at the forefront among Jordanian and Arab banks.
