In order to promote the values of social solidarity among the Jordanian people, support youth, and facilitate marriage, Jordan Islamic Bank continues its ongoing contributions to support mass weddings organized by Al-Afaf Charity Association. The Bank celebrated 20 grooms who participated in the 38th mass wedding, the first of this year, which was held at the Diwan Abna'a Ma'an - Tariq on 23 May 2025. The Bank presented a cash gift (naqoot) to brides and grooms participating in the ceremony, in addition to providing them with Al Qard Al Hasan, in cooperation with Al-Afaf Charity Association.
Based on the Bank's commitment to supporting the local community and its social and sustainable responsibilities that achieve the principle of social solidarity and mutual support, the Bank has continued to provide Al Qard Al Hasan since it began its operations to help citizens meet the requirements of some social cases such as treatment, education and marriage. The total number of beneficiaries of Al Qard Al Hasan provided by the Bank since its establishment until the end of 2024 amounted to about 607 thousand clients, with a total value of about JD 468 million, including Al Qard Al Hasan provided in cooperation with Al-Afaf Charitable Association during 2024, which amounted to JD 248 thousand, from which 248 young people benefited. This is in addition to financing those who wish to purchase furniture and various necessities.
Engineer Mohammed Murad, a member of the Board of Directors of Al-Affaf Charitable Association, thanked Jordan Islamic Bank for its fruitful and continuous cooperation in providing Al Qard Al Hasan and gifts to the grooms participating in group weddings. He presented an honorary shield to Jordan Islamic Bank, which was received by Mr. Ahmed Abdul Kareem, Manager of Corporate Communications Manager at the Bank.
