Jordan Islamic Bank continued to participate in the activities of the Central Bank of Jordan in the field of awareness and financial education, coinciding with the celebration of the Arab Day for Financial Inclusion, in continuation of the work to build financial capabilities and raise the degree of awareness and financial culture among young university students in various governorates of the Kingdom and introduce them to the importance of saving and how to manage expenses and sound financial planning and warning against electronic financial fraud and combating money laundering, by holding educational sessions for students of Irbid National University, Princess Sumaya University, Al Hussein Bin Talal University, Karak Intermediate University College, and Aqaba Association for Development and Empowerment during the period 21 - 29 April 2024.
The bank offered a variety of in-kind prizes and opened electronic savings accounts to a number of university students who obtained high results in the (electronic test) prepared by the Central Bank of Jordan to evaluate the extent to which students benefited before and after the financial education activities provided to them, and the extent to which they acquired the necessary financial culture and encouraging them to use banking services and products.
Dr. Hussein Said, CEO of the Jordan Islamic Bank, stated that the bank continues its commitment to promoting financial inclusion and working to spread Islamic financial culture, especially towards the youth group, to provide them with the opportunity to benefit from the various banking services and products provided by the bank, through its permanent presence within the activities of the Central Bank of Jordan, which is organized annually and aimed at supporting the national strategy for financial inclusion.
