Jordan Islamic Bank participated in the celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the Royal Decree in establishing the University of Tafila Technical University by sponsoring the ceremony held under the patronage Prof. Dr. Bassam Zaal Al-Mahasneh, President of Tafila Technical University, and in the presence of official and academic figures, teaching and administrative staff, university students, and members of the local community. The ceremony was held in the Sports Hall - Deanship of Student Affairs at the University on 15 April 2025. The ceremony included a review of the university’s development and the achievements it has made throughout its academic journey in the fields of education, scientific research, international cooperation, and infrastructure.
Dr. Hussein Said, CEO of Jordan Islamic Bank, said, "We are pleased to share in the celebration of this precious anniversary with Tafila Technical University, which is crowned by academic and research achievements. We also emphasize the bank's role in fulfilling its sustainable social responsibilities by supporting the scientific and academic progress and being present in various activities that serve education, scientific research, and the local community."
Dr. Hussein Said also emphasized his pride in the cooperative relationship between the university and the bank, which culminated last year, 2024, with the signing of an agreement to establish a branch of Jordan Islamic Bank on campus, with the aim of enhancing investment opportunities and providing banking services to students and the local community.
As part of honoring the individuals and institutions that have contributed to providing continuous support to the university’s progress, Professor Dr. Bassam Zaal Al-Mahasneh, President of Tafila Technical University, expressed his thanks and appreciation the Jordan Islamic Bank for its prominent role in supporting the university’s progress and sponsoring the celebration. He presented an honorary shield to the bank, which was received by Mr. Hani Al-Shahban, Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank - Tafila Branch.
