In implementation of the vision of economic modernization in the field of encouraging investment and supporting the Jordanian commercial sector, and due to its positive impact on the performance and development of the national economy, Jordan Islamic Bank provided support for the first Jordan-Gulf Investment Conference under the slogan "Partnerships, Investment, Economic Integration", which was inaugurated by His Majesty King Abdullah II's representative, the Minister of Investment, His Excellency Eng. Muthanna Gharaibeh, with the joint organization of Jordan Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council States, with the participation of the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council States, the heads and members of the boards of directors of the Gulf chambers and their federations, leaders of the private sector, business owners and investors from the Arab Gulf States on 4/12/2024 at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center in the Dead Sea.
Dr. Hussein Said, CEO of Jordan Islamic Bank, said, “The continued participation of our bank in the conferences of Jordan Chamber of Commerce and in sponsoring this conference comes to enhance the economic and developmental role of our bank in supporting national efforts aimed at encouraging investment and strengthening the bonds of partnerships between various sectors that contribute to supporting the national economy.”
He pointed out that Jordan is distinguished by its vital role and attractive investment features, which have given it a distinguished position among the Arab countries and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in hosting meetings aimed at integrating Arab economies and enhancing trade and investment in various sectors, praising the sustainable partnership between Jordan Islamic Bank and Jordan Chamber of Commerce.
For his part, Senator Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, Chairman of Jordan Chamber of Commerce, expressed his thanks to Jordan Islamic Bank for its continuous support for the activities of Jordan Chamber of Commerce and its participation in the success of this conference, which is an achievement in supporting the Jordanian commercial sector. He presented an honorary shield to Dr. Musa Mubarak, Head of the Corporate Sector at Jordan Islamic Bank, in appreciation of the bank’s sponsorship of the conference.
The bank also set up a special pavilion at the exhibition to introduce the bank’s services and products that are compatible with the provisions and principles of Islamic Sharia. During the conference, available investment opportunities and success stories were presented to enhance mutual trade and investment development, and to open new horizons for cooperation to strengthen the bonds of economic relations between the Gulf States and Jordan.
