In order to enhance the role of Jordan Islamic Bank in supporting scientific and research activities that serve the national economy, the bank participated in supporting the third international conference of the Faculty of Law at Al al-Bayt University, entitled "Artificial Intelligence: A Legal Vision Towards a Sustainable Future", under the patronage of the Prime Minister's Representative, Her Excellency Dr. Nancy Nimroqa, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and in the presence of Professor Dr. Osama Nusair, President of Al al-Bayt University, with the participation of researchers and academics from inside and outside Jordan. The conference was held during the period 6-7/5/ 2025.
For his part, Dr. Hussein Said, CEO of Jordan Islamic Bank, praised the cooperative relationship between the bank and Al al-Bayt University, which was strengthened by sponsoring this conference. This partnership affirms the bank's commitment to its sustainable social responsibilities through its ongoing contribution to enhancing cooperation with educational institutions and supporting their academic and research journey. He also praised the conference's themes, which highlighted the significant development of artificial intelligence in the contemporary world and across various aspects of life, and the need for legislative and legal compliance to achieve a balance between technological development and protecting the rights of individuals and society from any risks or negatives associated with the use of artificial intelligence.
Professor Dr. Samer Al-Dala'a, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Al al-Bayt University, expressed his thanks and appreciation to Jordan Islamic Bank for supporting the conference and contributing to its success, and for the bank's active role in supporting the educational and academic progress at the university.
During the opening ceremony of the conference, and in appreciation of the bank's sponsorship of the conference, Dr. Nancy Namrouqa presented an honorary shield to the bank's representative, Mr. Ali Naseer, Director of Jordan Islamic Bank/Mafraq Branch.
