Proceeding from Jordan Islamic Bank's assumption of its social responsibilities in the field of supporting scientific and research activities that support the process of scientific research and its development and serve the local community and the national economy, the Bank provided sponsorship and support for the first international conference on scientific research at Jerash University entitled "Scientific Research in Foreseeing the Future" and in cooperation with the Association of Arab Universities. Which was held under the auspices of the representative of the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, Professor Dr. Abdul Rahim Al-Hunaiti, with the participation of more than 100 researchers, specialists and academics from inside and outside Jordan, during the period 23-25 August 2023.
Dr. Hussein Said, Chief Executive Officer / General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, said, "in order to enhance the role of our bank by strengthening the bonds of cooperation with institutions of higher education, including Jerash University, and supporting scientific research. Where our bank has been sponsoring its annual scientific conferences, including this conference, which emphasizes the importance of conducting scientific research to anticipate the future of the economy and successive technological developments and their reflection on the development and performance of the economy, which we hope will come out with results and recommendations that will reflect positively on the Islamic economic and banking process and enhance its role in serving the national economy.
For their part, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Khalayleh, President of Jerash University, and Dr. Haitham Hijazi, Dean of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies at the University and the Head of the Conference, expressed their thanks and appreciation to Jordan Islamic Bank for supporting the conference and enabling it to achieve its goals. Dr. Hussein Al-Qudah, manager of Jordan Islamic Bank / Jerash Branch, was handed an honorary shield for the Bank's sponsorship of the conference.
