Jordan Islamic Bank of Jordan provided support for the implementation of the environmental initiative “Your Bag in Your Car”, which stems from the Royal initiatives implemented by the Ministry of Environment to reduce the phenomenon of random dumping of waste, organized by Irbid Association for the Preservation of the Environment and Rayhana Al Shamal Association for the Environment.
The initiative included the participation of a group of bank volunteers and employees in distributing garbage bags designated for cars with specific specifications to citizens, bank visitors and vehicle owners in the vicinity of the bank building on Baghdad Street in Irbid Governorate, in the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Environment, the Environmental Police and the Community Police.
This participation embodies the bank’s strategy in social responsibility and sustainability, its keenness to protect the environment, support volunteer activities, and responds to the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, in promoting community awareness of the importance of preserving the environment and reducing the phenomenon of random waste dumping.
For his part, Mr. Amer Rizk, President of the Rayhana Al Shamal Association for the Environment, presented a honorary shield to the bank in appreciation of its sponsorship of this initiative, which received a wide response from employees, visitors, and residents of the area.
