As part of Jordan Islamic Bank’s commitment to its social responsibility and its keenness to support young people about to get married, the bank presented a “Naqoot” to support twenty grooms and brides in the forty-second group wedding ceremony and the second during the current year, as an extension of this initiative that has been organized for years by Al-Afaf Charitable Society, which was held at the Diwan Abna'a Ma'an- Tariq on 28/8/2026 in a step that reflects the spirit of community solidarity and enhances the values of cooperation and solidarity among members of society.
The bank’s continued participation in this initiative over the past years reflects its firm approach to supporting sustainable community initiatives and is part of its ongoing social programs that aim to support various groups and promote initiatives with a positive impact, based on the bank’s belief in the importance of contributing to achieving family stability and enabling young people to build their future, in addition to what the bank offers in cooperation with Al-Afaf Charitable Society by providing Al Qard Al Hasan and financing to purchase furniture for those who wish to get married.
The total number of beneficiaries of the interest Al Qard Al Hasan provided by the bank for certain social cases such as treatment, education, and marriage for immediate expenses, from the beginning of the bank’s establishment until the end of 2025, reached about 636,000 clients, and their total value reached about JD 493 million, including Al Qard Al Hasan provided to young people about to get married in coordination with the association, which amounted to about JD 8 million distributed among 12,200 beneficiaries.
During the ceremony, which was characterized by an atmosphere of joy and happiness, Dr. Munther Zaitoun, Vice President of Al-Afaf Charitable Society, expressed his gratitude to Jordan Islamic Bank, appreciating its continued cooperation in supporting the couples participating in the mass wedding ceremonies and facilitating their marriage.
