In line with national orientations to enhance the role of women in various sectors and empower them as a key partner in the development process, and in confirmation of the interest that Jordan Islamic Bank pays to enhancing financial inclusion and leaving a positive impact on society, the bank provided support to Multaqa Al-Nashama for worldwide Jordanian Community through its golden sponsorship for the Second Conference of expatriate Arab and Jordanian Women, under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Samir Al-Rifai, Vice President of the Senate, and with the wide participation of women from the Jordanian community in all countries of the world, at Hilton Hotel - Amman on 2/8/2025.
Mr. Hassan Atout, Head of Retail Banking at Jordan Islamic Bank, said, " The sponsorship of our bank for this conference, which aims to provide ways to empower Jordanian expatriate women and support them, is a confirmation of the bank's role in fulfilling its social responsibilities and enhancing economic empowerment., and expanding the bank's client base across various segments. It also supports women's economic, political, and social participation, achieving justice and equality and enhancing sustainable national growth."
Mr. Atout pointed to the bank's interest in enhancing the partnership with Multaqa Al-Nashama for worldwide Jordanian Community by providing banking facilities for Jordanian expatriates that include digital banking services and financing compliant with the provisions and principles of Islamic Sharia at preferential rates and with ease and convenience. In addition to supporting the activities of the forum that document the relationship between expatriates and their homeland.
During the opening of the conference activities, His Excellency Mr. Samir Al-Rifai presented a commemorative shield to Mr. Hasan Atout in appreciation of the bank's sponsorship of the conference. Dr. Engineer Muhammad Ayman Al-Rifai, the founder and president of Al-Nashama Forum, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Jordan Islamic Bank for its continued support and sponsorship of the forum's activities.
The conference's dialogue sessions addressed the legal and political framework for women's empowerment, the role of women in the economy and entrepreneurship, women's empowerment through education and innovation, women and sustainable development, and the role of the media in supporting women's issues.
