In support of Jordan Islamic Bank’s sustainable environmental activities and based on its commitment to preserving a pollution-free Jordanian environment, contributing to solving environmental problems and ensuring balanced development, the bank sponsored two environmental initiatives of Jordan Environment Society in Kufranja and Amman, on the occasion of the celebration of national holidays: the King’s Accession to the Throne Day, the Great Arab Revolt, Army Day, and World Environment Day.

The first initiative was held in Kufranja Municipality/Ajloun Governorate by launching the activities of the comprehensive national environmental campaign under the slogan "For a green homeland, a clean environment and sustainable development" by implementing a cleaning campaign for the Kufranja Municipality building area and its surroundings, under the patronage of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Local Administration for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Nidal Abu Arabi, with the participation of the Royal Directorate of Environmental Protection, the Joint Services Council, heads and members of tourism, environmental and volunteer associations, and representatives of Kufranja Municipality, Ajloun National University and Public Security Directorate on 18/6/2025.
The second national environmental initiative, “Make Your Mark,” was sponsored by Jordan Islamic Bank, with the participation of the Greater Amman Municipality, the Royal Hospital, Rosary Schools, and a group of volunteers. The campaign included a painting and cleaning campaign to beautify the “Mother’s Garden,” located in Amman, near the Royal Hospital, on 22/6/ 2025.
Jordan Islamic Bank's sponsorship of the two environmental initiatives reinforces the sustainable partnership between the bank and Jordan Environment Society, which aims to implement targeted annual environmental initiatives that reinforce His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein's vision for Jordan to become a regional center for green development. It also aligns with the strategic objectives of social responsibility and sustainability at Jordan Islamic Bank to protect the environment and reduce its negative impact, in accordance with the sustainable development goals within the United Nations Agenda for Sustainable Development 2030.
