Jordan Islamic Bank won the award for Best Banking Group in Jordan for 2026 from the British magazine (World Finance), as part of its annual awards dedicated to the banking sector, in recognition of financial institutions that excelled in facing the challenges of 2026 through innovation, operational strength and a firm commitment to clients.
The magazine’s report on its website indicated that the banking sector witnessed rapid challenges during 2026 imposed by the conditions of economic rebalancing, technological development, geopolitical uncertainty, and interest rate fluctuations. The report confirmed that the winning institutions succeeded in setting new standards of excellence and actively contributing to shaping the future of global banking by balancing flexibility and growth, investing heavily in digital transformation, employing artificial intelligence in customer service, enhancing cybersecurity and sustainable finance.
For his part, Dr. Hussein Said, CEO of Jordan Islamic Bank, expressed his pride in this achievement, which is an appreciation of the bank’s outstanding financial performance and its continuous efforts in digital transformation, and of the successes achieved by the bank in the second year of its strategy for the years (2025-2029), which proved the flexibility of the business model and the ability to adapt to various challenges and opportunities, which contributed to enhancing risk management, raising the efficiency of capital deployment, and providing advanced financial services that keep pace with the developments in the sector, stressing the bank’s commitment to continue investing in financial technology, consolidating customer confidence, and enhancing competitiveness.
It is worth noting that the bank has been winning awards annually from World Finance magazine since 2009.
