The Regional Network for Social Responsibility which based in Bahrain announced that Jordan Islamic Bank won the International Award for Excellence in the Field of Partnership and Social Responsibility for Financial Institutions and Islamic Banks for the year 2024, in recognition of the bank’s contributions and outstanding achievements in social responsibility and sustainability among Arab Islamic banks. This came at the conclusion of the eighth Conference and Award for Partnership and Social Responsibility for Financial Institutions and Islamic Banks for the year 2024, which was held in Kuwait, with the participation of experts and speakers in the field of Islamic banking, economics and social responsibility, to honor the financial institutions and Islamic banks that are most influential in social responsibility and sustainability initiatives in the Arab region, on the thirteenth of May 2024.
Dr. Hussein Said, CEO of Jordan Islamic Bank, said, “We are proud to have received this prestigious award, which is a recognition of our bank’s achievements in the field of social responsibility and sustainability for implementing annually many activities and initiatives on environmental, social, and governance sustainability emanating from the bank’s sustainability strategy, with a commitment to issue a report on the Bank’s sustainability activities in accordance with the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and based on its principles and mission and in fulfillment of its duty towards societal issues.”
He stated that this award confirms the bank’s continued success and its ability to excel, whether in the field of social responsibility, sustainability, or Islamic banking, to be added to the other awards that the bank reaps annually, which give the impetus to continue excellence and achieve more achievements.

Note that Jordan Islamic Bank previously received from Regional Network for Social Responsibility the award for the financial institution committed to the social responsibility of Islamic banks for the year 2017 (commitment).
