Jordan Islamic Bank launched “Apple Pay” service, which is considered one of the most widespread and private contactless digital payment methods, as it allows the bank’s customers to make their payments using credit cards, direct debit cards, and prepaid cards by swiping iPhone or Apple Watch, on point-of-sale devices in shopping centers locally and internationally with ease.
Apple Pay service is characterized by the highest levels of privacy, as the actual card numbers are not stored on the phone device or on Apple’s servers, but rather a special number is assigned that is encrypted and stored securely according to the highest standards for storing payment information safely on the device used for payment.
Dr. Hussein Said, CEO of Jordan Islamic Bank, said, “The launch of Apple Pay service comes from our bank’s strategy to enhance its digital services and provide the latest digital payment solutions to its customers, to be added to “Islami Mobile” services that we provide to our customers as an appreciation for them and to enhance their confidence, as they can use it with ease and comfort, within the highest levels of safety and protection, and enjoy local and global acceptance, by activating it through “Islami Mobile” application or through Apple Wallet.
Dr. Hussein Said stated that the mechanism for activating Apple Pay service It is easily and clearly in terms of settings and steps in adding banking cards (Visa and Master) on iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac devices, so that customers can start using the Apple Pay service on any of these devices immediately. In addition to continuing to benefit from all the rewards and benefits that Jordan Islamic Bank offers to users of its various types of banking cards.
