JIB in Madrasati’s initiative with students of Umm Qusayr Elementary School for Boys in Giza

In implementation of the core values of Jordan Islamic Bank and its sustainable social responsibilities to serve the local community in the educational field, the bank in cooperation with Madrasati Initiative, organized a charitable event at Umm Qusayr Elementary School for Boys located in Al-Jizah District, in the presence of the representative of the Director of Education in Al-Jizah District, Mr. Ahmed Sinyan/Head of the General Education and Student Affairs Department, where a group of bank employees volunteered to distribute gifts (coats) to the school’s students from the first to the third grade to protect them from the cold during the winter, in addition to presenting honorary gifts to the school’s educational and administrative staff, coinciding with the third Al-Baraka Charity Day organized annually by Al-Baraka Group and its units in all countries in which it is present to carry out charitable activities in service of the local community, which falls on the eleventh of November of each year, with employees from the group’s units carrying out initiatives aimed at supporting education that have positively impacted the lives of more than 4,500 students in the countries in which the group operates.
On this occasion, Dr. Hussein Said, CEO of Jordan Islamic Bank, said, “In order to enhance our bank’s role in supporting the educational process in Jordan in every way possible through joint cooperation with various institutions and bodies in the public and private sectors, the bank’s participation in Al-Barakah Day, which adopts one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and whose theme this year was set around the goal of “Quality Education”, comes to contribute to achieving this goal by supporting students and educational staff, with the participation of our bank’s employees and in cooperation with Madrasati initiative, one of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah’s initiatives, which aims to improve the educational and learning environment in public schools.”
During the initiative, activities were organized for students, including the morning anthem and “Telematch” games by a team from Madrasati’s initiative, and a storytelling activity with a storyteller through reading stories with the participation of a team from Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation.
These activities were met with great interaction from the school students and brought them joy and happiness.
For her part, the Director of Madrasati Initiative, Ms. Tala Suwais, expressed the importance of the role and positive impact played by national institutions in supporting the education sector and serving government schools in efforts to improve the school environment, which in turn is reflected on the student and the educational process as a whole.
