In recognition of its achievements in retail banking and social responsibility within the Jordanian banking sector, and its leadership among Islamic banks in Jordan, Jordan Islamic Bank won two awards which are the Strongest Islamic Retail Bank and the Best Islamic Retail Bank for Social Responsibility in Jordan for 2025. These awards were presented at the 11th Annual Islamic Retail Banking Awards (IRBA) granted by Cambridge IFA institution, based in the UK, during the awards announcement and distribution ceremony held in Karachi, Pakistan, coinciding with the International Conference on Islamic Banking and Finance, with the participation and attendance of more than 350 leading figures in the Islamic financial services sector from about 15 countries, on 19/11/2025.
According to Cambridge IFA institution, it grants these awards based on a global ranking of Islamic banks carried out by the Cambridge Institute of Islamic Finance, which relies on a special competency analysis developed in collaboration with Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University in Dubai since 2015. The ranking was conducted for more than 130 Islamic banks from around the world to select the banks nominated for these awards, including Jordan Islamic Bank, in recognition of its distinguished role in retail services and corporate social responsibility.
Dr. Hussein Said, CEO of Jordan Islamic Bank, expressed his pride in the bank winning these awards, which add to its record of achievements and reflect its strategy aimed at achieving excellence in banking performance and financial inclusion, alongside its influential role in social responsibility and sustainability.
