New way of accessing the lounge for Visa Signature & Visa Platinum Cards.
With the launch of Visa Airport Companion App by Visa International, cardholders of Visa Signature & Visa Platinum must download Visa Airport Companion App that is available for Android & iOS and register their eligible Visa cards on the App to access airport lounge privileges linked to their card.
Visa Airport Companion App benefits:
- View all accessible lounge locations , with brief includes )images, opening hours, location and directions, amenities(.
- Check their remaining yearly access and determine further eligibility or additional access.
- 6 visits per year for Visa Platinum Card.
- 12 visit per year for Visa Signature Card. The first visit for the lounge is not subject to terms and conditions, in order to be eligible to benefit from the rest of free annual visits available , cardholder must process an international transaction on the card (E-Commerce, international Points of Sale) for an amount of not less than one US dollar ($1),taking into account passing ten days since the successful transaction processed.
Important notes about Visa Airport Companion App:
- As of October 1, 2024 ,it will not be allowed to access airport lounges using the physical card, access to lounges by presenting membership QR code from the mobile app.
- Before starting to subscribe to the app, you must check the activation of the card online with an amount of at least 1 JOD and on the 3D Secure service, where the card can be activated online through Islami Mobile App and Islamic Internet for Visa Platinum Card.
- The cardholder enters their Visa card details, including the card number, expiry date, CVV number, and country of issuance. 3D Secure and $0 Auth are performed and card status is checked.
- the cardholder need to enter their Visa card details in order to register. They will be asked to re-enter their card details if they get a new card (e.g., replacement for a lost/stolen card or if card expires).
- Cardholders must register in the Visa Airport Companion app before they can gain lounge access.
- If the cardholder does not have any complimentary guest visits, they will have the option to bring guests for a charge of $32 USD per person per visit. The charge will be made directly to their registered Visa card.
- Visa Airport Companion App is a fully digital, without a smartphone, you will be unable to utilize this service.
- you can add multiple eligible Visa cards to Visa Airport Companion account. Simply navigate to the membership page and select 'Add new membership' to enter the details of your additional card. You can easily switch between memberships by selecting 'Switch membership' on the membership page.
- Each secondary cardholder must register their own account with Visa Airport Companion App, using their personal details, including their name as per their passport and their email address.
- Lounge access is subject to availability on the day of your travel. If the lounge is at capacity, we recommend checking the app for alternative lounges you may visit.
