Jordan Islamic Bank ( JIB) and Jordan Loan Guarantee Corporation (JLGC) signed a cooperation agreement to implement the "Guarantees for Employment" program, which aims to facilitate access to financing for small and medium enterprises in accordance with the provisions and principles of Islamic Sharia, and with the guarantee of Jordan Loan Guarantee Corporation to enhance the ability of financed projects to expand and create new job opportunities, which contributes to stimulating economic growth, supporting employment and reducing unemployment in the Kingdom.
The agreement was signed by the CEO of Jordan Islamic Bank, Dr. Hussein Said, and the General Manager of Jordan Loan Guarantee Company, Mr. Adnan Naji, at the Head Office of Jordan Islamic Bank on 24/08/2026.
Dr. Hussein Said emphasized that the launch of the program comes within the framework of the bank’s commitment to supporting economic activity and enhancing its role in financial inclusion and financing small and medium enterprises, noting that the program constitutes a key link in the financing chain directed towards local development by providing financing solutions that comply with the provisions and principles of Islamic Sharia, enabling projects to expand and be sustainable, and contributing to generating new job opportunities for Jordanian youth.
For his part, Professor Adnan Naji said that the Guarantees for Employment program is one of the important tools to reduce financing risks for banks and enhance their ability to provide more credit facilities to productive sectors in order to support stimulating economic growth, stressing the importance of the partnership with Jordan Islamic Bank in achieving the program’s goals and expanding the base of beneficiaries.
The agreement reflects the keenness of both parties to enhance cooperation between Jordan Islamic Bank and Jordan Loan Guarantee Corporation, and to provide financing tools that cover various sectors, and provide more effective guarantees for productive projects and contribute to enhancing economic activity.
